Lecturer in English (English for Speakers of Other Languages) – Stafford
Location: Stafford (hourly paid)Hours: 3 hours – Tuesday EveningSalary: £25.38 per hour
Responsibilities
- Teach English to speakers of other languages on adult courses, including qualification and non‑qualification courses.
- Play an active role in marketing and community awareness of ESOL across the community, including open days, taster sessions and liaison with local employers.
- Engage in core duties such as preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking examination papers, and developing flexible learning materials.
- Support marketing of the College, Faculty and Department.
Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Level 5 university specialism in ESOL (or equivalent); ESOL trained (RSA or CELTA).
- Teaching qualification at Level 5 (DTLLS or equivalent); PGCE or DTTLS or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to teach Academic English.
- Well organised and able to manage a varied workload.
