Consultant Rheumatologist (Southport & Ormskirk)

Overview

The post is for a full‑time (10 pa) Consultant Rheumatologist. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team to deliver excellent rheumatology care across Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. A specialist interest in rheumatology is welcomed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide ward consultations for inpatients as required.
• Participate in the management structure of the Medical Division.
• Deliver the proposed job plan: DCC 7.5 PA (5 clinics 4.75 PA, clinical admin 1.75 PA, advice & guidance 0.25 PA, MDT 0.25 PA, ward referral 0.5 PA).

Qualifications

Applicants must hold membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK or equivalent qualifications), be fully registered with the General Medical Council, and either be on the Specialist Register for Dermatology or be due to obtain their CCT within six months of the date of interview.

Contract Details

The post holder will be employed for a full‑time post (10 PA). Consideration will be given to candidates planning to work less than full time.
