Are you looking for an exciting Nursery Room Manager opportunity in a high-quality Early Years environment based in Hove, East Sussex?

We are seeking an experienced, confident, and passionate Nursery Room Manager to join our supportive early years team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role within a nurturing setting where children are encouraged to learn, play, and develop in a stimulating environment. You will lead your room team in delivering outstanding early years care and education, with genuine opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of high-quality, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Manage and inspire a team of practitioners, ensuring excellent standards of care and education are maintained.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Act as Key Person, overseeing children’s learning, development, wellbeing, and care needs.
  • Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress, sharing updates and milestones with parents and carers.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with families through clear and effective communication.
  • Ensure safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety procedures are consistently implemented.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the room and contribute to the overall success and quality of the nursery.
  • Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education (essential).
  • Significant experience within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or Nursery Room Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about early childhood development and delivering outstanding care and education.
