Construo Recruitment are working in partnership with a long-established specialist contractor to recruit an experienced Project Coordinator to join their growing projects team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and proactive Project Coordinator with experience in construction or M&E to support the successful delivery of fire, security, data and building systems projects. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating multiple stakeholders and can confidently manage project administration from start to finish.
The Role
As Project Coordinator, you will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently through effective coordination, scheduling and document control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to Project Managers across multiple live projects
- Maintaining project records, spreadsheets and databases
- Managing project documentation, including O&M Manuals, RAMS and compliance documentation
- Acting as the primary document controller for the Projects Department
- Coordinating engineers, subcontractors and resource allocation across projects
- Scheduling works and managing job cards through project management software
- Raising compliance certificates and Certificates of Conformance
- Recording and monitoring overtime, expenses and timesheets
- Raising and managing subcontractor work orders through approval processes
- Processing subcontractor invoices and supporting documentation
- Coordinating defect works and arranging return visits with clients
- Liaising with clients, engineers and subcontractors to ensure projects remain on programme
- Supporting the wider projects team with general administration as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Project Coordinator role
- Experience within the construction or M&E sector
- Previous scheduling and resource planning experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio
- Experience using Project Management, Field Service Management (FSM) or CRM software
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
