Caster

Overview

Rolls‑Royce has an opportunity for a Caster in the PCF Furnace Room. The role is responsible for the transformation of a ceramic mould into a cast product in a fast‑paced, high‑temperature environment. The successful candidate will operate and monitor casting furnaces, work to technical instructions, adhere to tight specifications, and continuously improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor casting furnaces in the PCF Furnace Room.
• Follow technical instructions and maintain tight specifications.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting and walking as required.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent literacy and numeracy.
• High level of manual dexterity.
• Experience in a casting environment is preferential, but not essential.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is desirable.
• Ability to work flexibly to support business requirements.
• Understanding of HS&E procedural requirements and compliance.
• Basic IT skills; good organisational, numerical and reasoning skills.
