About the Organisation
Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSDS) is a national NHS Board that provides strategic and operational support to a range of health and social care organisations. PSDS Payroll Services offers a fully managed payroll service to nine health boards, supporting a pay bill in excess of £2.8 bn for around 90,000 employees.
The Post
PSDS Payroll Services is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals Payroll Assurance Scheme. The SSTS Officer will act as a local system expert for the Scottish Standard Time System (SSTS), providing first‑line support, training, and data analysis to NHS Boards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the SSTS system and provide training, coaching and support to all SSTS users.
- Deliver first‑line support to NHS Boards using SSTS.
- Support and train users in the SSTS reporting system and Business Objects (BOXI).
- Maintain system data, analyse reports and advise Boards on best practices to maximise system benefits.
- Ensure all payroll processes comply with statutory legislation and NHS Terms and Conditions of Service.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions of Service.
- Experience working with SSTS, ePayroll and Business Objects is desirable.
- Good understanding of the General Data Protection Act.
- Strong team‑working and organisational skills.
Location and Working Pattern
Offices are located in Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy, Denny and Dumfries. This role offers hybrid working with 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday office hours and flexible timing. Applicants must live and remain residents of the UK.
