People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well‑established client based in Coalville, Leicestershire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a busy transport operation.

This role would suit candidates with previous experience as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, C1 Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi‑Drop Driver, Van Driver, Commercial Driver, or LGV Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 04:00 – 05:00
• Up to 12‑hour shifts

Rates of Pay

• £14.80 per hour

Day‑to‑Day Duties

• Operating and driving 7.5 Tonne (Category C1) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing deliveries in line with planned routes and schedules
• Carrying out pre‑use and post‑use vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure before departure
• No heavy lifting involved
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

Essential Skills

• A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
• A minimum of six months’ Category C1 driving experience
• A valid CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
