A specialist SEN school in the Lostock Hall area of Preston is looking for reliable, caring, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to provide ad‑hoc support on a flexible basis.
Responsibilities
- Providing classroom support across different age groups and needs
- Working one‑to‑one and in small groups with pupils with SEND
- Supporting pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
- Assisting teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment
- Adapting to different classroom settings and daily requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience working with SEN children or vulnerable young people is desirable
- Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt quickly
- Calm, patient, and supportive nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Background in education, care, youth work, or support work welcomed
- All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role
