Tesco Shift Leader – Nights – Birkenhead Bidston Moss

We are looking for a dedicated shift leader for our night shift. You will work between 22:00 and 07:00 on weekdays and weekends, with a minimum of 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours available).

Pay: £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Hours between midnight and 6:00 receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver outstanding customer experience in-store.
• Operate across all areas of the store and act as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries.
• Build positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently run the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change.
• Coach colleagues, give feedback and exemplify great service.
• Remain curious and seek opportunities to better serve customers, communities, and the planet.

Qualifications & Experience

• Prior experience as a team lead or manager in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Strong role model with a passion for delivering excellent service and meeting customer needs.
• Ability to create a supportive, inclusive team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
• Natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to achieve outstanding results.
