Apprentice Nursery/Childcare Practitioner – Level 2/3 Training
We are offering an exciting opportunity to begin or continue your career with Parenta Training, working in an early years setting based in HA3 0YG. Become an apprentice in a fun and friendly setting working with children aged from birth to five years, gaining experience while you learn.
Earn as you learn, gaining a nationally recognised qualification without attending classroom based lessons. The apprenticeship lasts a minimum of 12 months and leads to a Level 2 or 3 diploma in Childcare.
Parenta provides full training, support, guidance and a personal assessor/tutor from the start of your journey. You will be an employed member of staff and paid an hourly rate.
Responsibilities
- Work with children aged 0‑5 years, organising activities and providing proactive care within the early years teaching sector.
- Assist and meet the personal and emotional needs of individual children, including changing nappies, feeding, caring and establishing relationships.
- Provide all aspects of care and support under supervision, ensuring children participate in day‑to‑day learning and play activities.
- Ensure the setting is safe, clean and well presented.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain the highest standards of work and a positive working environment.
- Create a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere that supports children’s emotional, social and educational development through individual attention and group activities.
- Attend team meetings and contribute relevant ideas.
- Understand and implement the setting’s confidentiality policy.
- Contribute to an effective and supportive team environment.
- Have access to your own transport or be able to obtain a lift, as the setting is not accessible by public transport.

- Be a committed, punctual and reliable individual.
- Be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with previous employers and the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
