Job Summary
Deputy Manager – Manchester. This is a full‑time (37.5 hours per week), permanent role based at our service in Manchester. You will lead and develop staff, drive service performance, champion safeguarding, and support young people at risk of homelessness to gain the skills and confidence for independent living.
Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Service Manager during periods of absence, overseeing service delivery and attending external meetings such as monitoring and contract reviews with commissioners.
- Lead service delivery at Safestop and Burnage Lane, managing staff teams at both sites.
- Provide accurate internal and external reporting, ensuring health and safety requirements comply with Housing Association and landlord obligations.
- Maintain the highest standards of support for young people, ensuring effective housing management and meeting KPI targets.
- Uphold safeguarding standards for young people and promote the services within Manchester City.
- Undertake additional duties in line with company policies and procedures, as directed by line manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant management experience supervising teams and individuals.
- Experience in decision‑making on a wide range of complex situations, including safeguarding children and young people.
- Experience delivering safe services to young people at risk.
- Experience using Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding requirements and procedures.

- High level of personal and professional integrity and understanding of professional boundaries.
- Effective collaborative working and continuous learning and development will be demonstrated.
