About the Role

A growing structural engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their small, collaborative team in Chesterfield. You’ll play a key role in delivering a variety of projects, with a focus on residential developments, while contributing to the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for residential and mixed-use projects
• Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and technical reports
• Mentor junior engineers and support a small team environment
• Attend site visits and liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals
• Ensure all work meets relevant codes, standards, and sustainability considerations

About You

• Degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline
• Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., IStructE or ICE)
• Proven experience in residential and mixed-use structural projects
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, or similar)
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
