Site: Doddington Town, March Salary £113,565 – £150,569 per annum (yearly). Closing 04/08/2026 23:59. Interview date 13/08/2026.

Job overviewThe successful candidate will work alongside community-based colleagues to provide assessment and psychiatric treatment for older adults across the Fenland community.

Responsibilities

Lead the multidisciplinary team in providing excellent psychiatric care and overseeing case management.

Conduct assessment, diagnosis and formulate treatment plans, particularly for dementia referrals.

Lead weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and ensure prompt reviews of acutely unwell patients.

Work closely with CRHTT, OPI and other liaison services during patient transitions.

Provide evidence‑based treatments and maintain accurate clinical records using SystmOne.

Cover for colleague leave to maintain continuous service.

Deliver teaching to postgraduate, undergraduate and staff training, including CPD activities.

Contribute to service development, quality improvement and audit activities.

Participate in clinical governance and local/national protocols.

Support research activities, including potential clinical trials.

Volunteer on out‑of‑hours rota (approximately 1:25, category A). On‑call remuneration is 3% of base per current policy.

Complete additional duties as required by the Trust.

Accountability to the clinical director and board as per protocol.

Education & Qualifications

GMC Specialist Register entry.

S12 / AC approved.

CCT in relevant specialty; CESR or equivalent considered.

MD or PhD.

Post‑graduate qualification in medical education.

Valid UK driving licence and capacity to drive.

Experience

Community-facing team experience.

Clinical training and experience equivalent to UK CCT in Old Age Psychiatry.

Experience in research and service development.

Characteristics

Teamworking ability.

Understanding of NHS service context and ability to develop services under change.

Effective teaching and training skills, self‑directed continuing education.
