Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamicDigital Delivery Coordinatorto contribute to theNet Zero Teesside(NZT) project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland.
To support the Digital Delivery Manager in delivery of the Project Digital Strategy, Information Execution plan, Master Information Delivery Plan, Digital Standards, Methods and Procedures
- Document, embed and feedback on the success of the Project Digital Strategy
- Share resulting Good Practice with the wider digital community via your Digital Lead
- 80% Embedding digital process, 20% Analysis and documentation of process BIM Scope (all BIM projects)
- Responsible for coordinating single or multi-discipline building information models
- Comply with role scope for relevant accreditation i.e. ISO19650:
Interface Manager
- Resolving spatial coordination issues with other Task Team interface Manager
- Escalating unresolved coordination issues to the Design/Construction Lead
- Keeping the Task Team updated with agreed resolutions and progress of ongoing resolution
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support the Digital Delivery Manager (DDM) to produce the Project Information Management Plan and Information Execution Plan and all documents to meet the Customer Requirements in the Employer Information Requirements
- Support the Project Team in the delivery of Geometrical, Non- Geometrical and Documents as an Interface manager
- Support the DDM to educate people, implement Group Digital Minimum Standards and usetechnology during project delivery; and to develop model(s) with data integrated into the design, construction and facilities operation/maintenance all in accordance with the Project Execution Plan
- Support with the educating the project team and supply chain members for the use and development of the Project Information Model Graphical and Non Graphical (3D Model)
- Support the Project team to implement processes/culture/technology so:– It can be used during project delivery and aid in reviewing potential conflicts
- – Work with the team in resolving the issues– The Programme can be linked to the Detailed Design Model i.e. 4D for Construction and own/support– The costs can be linked to the Model i.e. 5D for Construction and own/support– An As-Built model is created for Handover and Commissioning and own/support– The Asset Information/data can be linked to the model producing a 6D Model for Handover and Commissioning own/support i.e Generating/Managing Asbuilt information– Digital Site Management Techniques / mobile tech is facilitated
- Research, develop, implement, review new ways of working which will benefit the project by increasing efficiency, reducing cost, improve quality, sustainability and aiming for Zero Harm Collate data for senior management review
- Provide on-going internal training / technical orientation to new staff / external training
- Facilitate 3D coordination meetings with Internal and external project partners
- Demonstrate the Balfour Beatty Core behaviours
- Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
- Promote the Benefits of Digital Project Delivery in the processes of 3D, 4D, 5D,6D to others
- Facilitate the process of the Digital Coordination between project participants
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- 3-5 years industry previous experience in a similar role
- Understanding BS EN 19650 Standards and Protocols
- Acting as BIM information manager on projects to comply with BS EN ISO 19650requirements imposed by client
- Support the Project Team in the delivery of Geometrical (models/drawings) and Non-Geometrical (data) in line with the BEP
- Developing the model into an as-built model with data attached to it for future operations and maintenance where required
- Support with educating the Project Team and Supply Chain members for the use and development of the Project Information Model providing both Geometrical and Non-Geometrical information
- Deliver training and support for on their given BIM specialism
- Be proficient in the use of 4D simulation software and extrapolate 5D quantities take-off from models
- Experience in design review process, model management, lead BIM clash detection meeting and manage results to resolution
- Ability to deliver COBie assets requirements
- Working knowledge of project CDE environment
- Create and manage the project BEP and other associated documents
- Identifying the basic requirements and main deliverables expected from BIM tools and workflows
- Working with Planners to provide 4D programme and logistic outputs on live projects
- Working with Q/S to develop the 5D (cost model) outputs and how to leverage the use of BIM in providing better cost certainty on projects
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCEThe following qualities/experience are essential:
- BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng, HND/HDC or qualified by experience with an understanding and proven delivery of infrastructure or Building managing multiple processes / schemes
- NVQ – Level 5 or 2-5 years of project / Educational experience
- Can demonstrate Technical ability with the use of Digital Software applications and train others
- Mentors all variations of Digital Technicians and Digital Engineers
- An understanding of the latest industry guidelines for Digital project delivery such as BS 19650
- Technician Membership achieved. Approaching next level of Professional Membership
- Good communication skills with an ability to form effective relationships with partnersunder time pressure
- Experience of working collaboratively in either a consultant or contractor environment
- Proficiency in IT and numeracy
- Ability to form effective relationships with the project team, supply chain partners and clients under time pressure
- Demonstrable track record of delivering a high quality product to tight deadlines
- Primary Software Skills in Model Authoring. Relative to Project Requirements
- Professional membership are an advantage but not essential
- Microsoft 2013 or Higher
- Can demonstrate strong technical ability with the use of Digital software applications
- Keen to learn develop and support members of the digital team
- Proactively working towards technical membership or professional qualification
- Valid CSCS card
The following qualities/experience are desirable based upon project requirements:
- Some understanding of Design, Construction, Surveying and Asset Management
- Presentation and meeting organisation / leading coordination sessions
- Bentley application experience
- Synchro Software experience or equivalent
- 5D Simulation application
- Progressive Quality, Short interval control and model coordination applications – i.e BIM 360 Suite / Bentley
