About the Role
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, based in Huddersfield (may work across Kirklees). Contract type: Permanent.
Responsibilities
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and their families.
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
- Providing psycho‑social interventions and follow‑up for service users who need support with issues surrounding parental care and vulnerable adult issues, focusing on the Whole/Think Family agenda and support based on building personal assets and generating recovery capital.
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
- Identifying those suitable to attend the Moving Parents and Children Together (MPACT) programme, and supporting group work for those deemed suitable.
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services.
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives promoting recovery, resilience, family relationships, peer support and self‑determination.
- Delivering interventions across the Kirklees area within the community and family homes; driving is desired.
- Occasional out of hours work required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Good understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working with people.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with strong documentation skills.
- Proactive, able to work on own initiative, with excellent time‑management and prioritising skills.
- Good working knowledge of family services, frameworks and interventions for whole family practices.
- Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with a wide range of professionals, agencies and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage change successfully, prioritising the needs of service users.
- Demonstrated professional curiosity, caseload management and flexibility to achieve personalised treatment and care.
- Understanding of information governance processes and commitment to apply all necessary safeguards.
- Drive to learn and improve, contributing to the development of others.

Salary & Benefits
- Points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 – £32,802.41).
- Outside London weighting area.
