Role/Teamoverview
We areseeking an AI Specialist to design, build, and operationaliseintelligent systems that enhance Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)platforms and automate large-scale infrastructure operations. Thisrole has a strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, andoperational efficiency.
You willwork closely with SRE, platform, and cloud engineeringteams, within a global technology supportorganisation to embed AI-drivendecision-making, predictive analytics, and autonomous remediationinto infrastructureplatforms.
What you’ll do
InfrastructureAutomation atScale
- Design and deploy AI-poweredautomation frameworks for incident response and remediation(self-healingsystems).
- Automate repetitive operationalworkflows across compute, storage, and networkinglayers.
- Integrate AI capabilities intoCI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-codeecosystems.
DataEngineering & Observability
- Build and maintain pipelines forhigh-volume telemetry data (metrics, logs,traces).
- Ensure data quality, labelling,and feature engineering for MLmodels.
- Leverage observability tools toinform AIsystems.
Reliability& Governance
- Define SLIs/SLOs for AI systemsembedded in infrastructureworkflows.
- Ensure robustness,explainability, and auditability of AI-drivendecisions.
- Implement feedback loops tocontinuously improve modelperformance.
AI-DrivenSRE Enablement
- Develop ML/AI models for anomalydetection, incident prediction, and root cause analysis acrossdistributedsystems.
- Implement intelligent alertingsystems to reduce noise and improve signalfidelity.
- Build predictive reliabilitymodels (e.g., capacity forecasting, failureprediction).
What you’ll bring
Essential criteria:
Strong experience in AIengineering, particularly in operational or systemscontexts.
Practical experience ofSRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incidentmanagement).
Strong experience ofcloudplatforms.
Proficiency in Python(orsimilar).
Desirable skillsand experience:
Familiarity with LLMsfor operational tooling (e.g., incident summarization, runbookautomation).
Experience buildingAIOps or autonomous operationsplatforms.
Proven track record inreducing manual operational workload across SREteams.
Proven track record inreducing the Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR)through automatedremediation.
