RMErecruit is seeking a dedicated Finance & Administration Managerto join a dynamic team based in the Lisburn area.

This role blends traditional office oversight with core accounting, payroll, and construction compliance responsibilities.
You will lead a small accounts team, manage construction-specific requirements (including CIS), and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our financial and administrative functions. Key Responsibilities
CIS & Compliance Management: Take full ownership of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), ensuring strict compliance, accurate subcontractor verifications, deductions, and all monthly statutory filings.
Payroll Management: Oversee and conduct high-level reviews of the weekly payroll process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Project Costing & Cash Flow: Prepare daily cash flow reporting and provide vital job costing and project analysis to support the wider finance and project management teams.
Transactional Finance Oversight: Supervise the sales ledger, purchase ledger, and bank reconciliation processes.
Systems & ERP Implementation: Play a key role in the upcoming migration and implementation of a new ERP system.
Office & Team Leadership: Manage daily office administrative operations and lead a small, dedicated accounts support team.
What We Are Looking For
Strong technical knowledge of Sage Accounts, Sage Payroll, and Exchequer (or equivalent accounting and payroll software).
Highly proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis.
Deep familiarity with construction or engineering sector operations, particularly job costing, payroll, and CIS.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple financial and administrative deadlines.
Criteria
Essential: Proven experience in a finance-focused administration or accounts role within the construction, civil engineering, or subcontracting sectors.
Essential: Direct experience managing or supervising a small team.
Essential: Hands-on experience with CIS and weekly payroll management.
Desirable: A recognised accounting technician qualification (IATI, ATI, or equivalent).
