Your responsibilities as Farm Shop Butcher
- Prepare and present a range of meat products including beef, pork, lamb and poultry
- Produce value-added products including sausages, burgers and kebabs
- Serve customers and provide knowledgeable product guidance
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety and compliance
- Complete packaging, labelling and stock rotation activities
- Support daily production requirements and attractive counter displays
What we’re looking for in a Farm Shop Butcher
- Previous retail or commercial butchery experience
- Strong knife skills across a variety of meat products
- Experience producing value-added products such as sausages and burgers
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and stock control procedures
- Experience working within a customer-facing environment
Working Hours
- 42 hours per week
- 5 days from 7 on a rota basis
- Typical shifts of 07:00 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 17:00
- Regular Saturday working required
- Sunday working on a rota basis (2 in 4)
- Additional paid hours available during seasonal peak periods
