Internal Candidates Only – Quality Control Tech

The Quality Control Technician ensures that all incoming materials, in‑process assemblies, and finished switchgear products meet Davenham’s quality standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming goods, in‑process assemblies, and final products against drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Perform visual checks on electrical and mechanical components.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and traceability documentation.
• Identify non‑conformances and escalate issues to relevant teams for resolution.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Ensure all measuring and test equipment is calibrated and used correctly.
• Assist in the development and review of quality check sheets, SOPs, and inspection criteria.
• Promote a strong culture of quality awareness on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering quality control role.
• Understanding of quality inspection tools (calipers, torque tools, multimeters, etc.).
• Knowledge of ISO9001 requirements desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
