Hays Accountancy & Finance are working with our client, a well-established and growing multi-site business with operations across retail, distribution and property sectors, who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their busy finance team in Belfast. Your new role
- Preparing and maintaining bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Producing weekly cashflow reports and financial analysis
- Processing supplier payments and payment journals
- Administering finance agreements and allocating transactions to ledgers
- Assisting with the accounting treatment of loans, asset financing arrangements and foreign currency transactions
- Supporting monthly and year-end financial reporting activities
- Assisting with audit preparation and providing documentation as required
- Contributing to finance process improvements and project work
- Providing administrative and financial support to the wider business when required
What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience working within a finance or accounts environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong IT literacy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
