Project Engineer – ICA / MEICA / Water£70,000-£80,000 + Progression + Hybrid Working + Car Allowance + Bonus + Company BenefitsChelmsford / Hybrid / Site TravelAre you a Project Engineer with a background in ICA, MEICA, controls, PLCs, instrumentation, or commissioning within the water, wastewater, utilities, process, or oil and gas industry?This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist engineering consultancy delivering clean and wastewater projects across the Thames Water framework. The company is looking for a technically strong Project Engineer who can take ownership of ICA and MEICA project delivery from design review through to installation, commissioning, handover, and completion.This is not a purely office-based project management role. The successful candidate will understand how ICA systems function, how design standards are implemented, and how to manage the technical delivery of projects on site. You will work closely with clients, contractors, construction teams, and water operations teams to ensure systems are installed, commissioned, tested, and handed over correctly.You will be responsible for managing the project engineering process from start to finish, including reviewing designs and drawings, developing commissioning plans and procedures, coordinating site activities, supporting fault finding, and ensuring PLCs, control panels, communication systems, and instrumentation operate in line with the project specification.This role would suit an ICA Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, MEICA Project Engineer, Controls Engineer, or Electrical / Instrumentation Engineer with experience delivering projects in the water industry.
