You can be based in one of our UK or Ireland offices whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model.You will be a key player in delivering impactful water projects across the UK and internationally. You will lead hydrological assessments that inform flood risk management, major infrastructure planning, water resources strategy, and environmental permitting.This is a senior role combining technical excellence, client engagement, project oversight, and team leadership within a growing water team.Here’s what you’ll do:Technically lead or verify flood hydrological assessments which are assisting the design of flood alleviation schemes, reservoir engineering and flood risk assessments.Technically review or verify reports documenting hydrological assessments.Support the wider Water team in business development activities for a wide range of clients on national and international projects.Mentor staff within the team in hydrological estimation to support their professional developmentBuild relationships with clients and across other technical disciplinesKeep up-to-date with developments in legislation and guidelines that may affect our services and share them with the team.Deliver thought leadership and represent AECOM at conferences to showcase our expertise.Drive innovation within the team to deliver our projects efficiently and right first-time, including the development and enablement of AI solutions.Be an active member of our global community of hydrologists via our TechEx network.If you’re passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you.
