Legal Secretary Conveyancing

Location: Belfast

Salary: £25k £31k DOE

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their busy Conveyancing department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a secretary with conveyancing experience who is confident managing a busy workload and providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support from file opening through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting a solicitor with a busy conveyancing caseload
  • Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
  • Opening, maintaining and closing conveyancing files
  • Preparing contracts, letters, forms and completion documents
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors and third parties
  • Managing diaries, appointments and key dates
  • Handling incoming calls, emails and general client queries
  • Assisting with post-completion administration and file management
  • Providing wider administrative support to the conveyancing department when required

The Candidate

  • Previous legal secretarial experience, ideally within conveyancing
  • Strong typing, organisational and communication skills
  • Confident dealing with clients and third parties
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to manage a busy workload and work to deadlines
