Salary: £45,000 – 64,000 per year
Requirements
- We require an engineering degree, preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field, at 2:1 or above.
- We require proven experience in end-to-end release management, with a strong focus on automotive software.
- We require the ability to create and maintain Software BOMs with accuracy and traceability for multiple product variants.
- We require proficiency in developing and tracking release plans, schedules, and documentation, with strong attention to detail and time management.
- We require demonstrated ability to work with third-party software vendors and manage integrations within complex vehicle systems.
- We value formal project or quality management certification.
- We value familiarity with database tools for issue tracking and workflow management, such as Jira.
- We require excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
- We require the ability to tactfully challenge without alienating.

Responsibilities
- We manage the end-to-end software release process, ensuring releases are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- We work closely with the Integration, Verification and Validation teams to plan and coordinate software deliveries and test activities.
- We maintain a Software BOM for multiple product variants and generate and manage software part numbers.
- We ensure all software releases undergo proper validation, including functional, integration, and performance testing before deployment.
- We represent the Software Releases function across all levels of the business.
- We oversee software issues databases and engage stakeholders to prioritise and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- We manage the integration of third-party software components to ensure quality and compatibility within vehicle systems.
- We develop and maintain release plans, schedules, and supporting documentation for all software releases.
- We provide governance to ensure release gates and software requirements are actioned on time.
- We maintain accurate release reporting and high-quality release data.
