We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Advice / Prevention / Homelessness Assessment Officer to join a busy Housing Options Service in West London. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional who can hit the ground running and manage a varied caseload within a fast-paced service.
Deliver frontline Housing Options advice and homelessness assessments Undertake prevention and relief duties under the relevant legislation Conduct homelessness enquiries and investigations Work as part of the Housing Options Duty Service Strong knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act Proven experience in Housing Options / Homelessness Assessment roles Experience conducting homelessness enquiries and casework Experience writing s184 decision letters Basic DBS
Flexible working offered by the council Initial 2–4 week office-based induction After induction, 50% office-based / hybrid working
