Full‑Time | Monday – Friday

The Role

Working closely with the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the site’s health, safety, and environmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace inspections and identify potential hazards, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support the review and maintenance of site risk assessments.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety procedures.
  • Carry out audits of operational activities, including permit‑to‑work and lock‑out/tag‑out processes.
  • Complete and review COSHH assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures through regular workplace checks.
  • Deliver HSE inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain HSE communication boards and ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Collect, monitor, and analyse safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support investigations and problem‑solving activities aimed at reducing risk and improving safety performance.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation, and reports.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety, or be actively working towards achieving one.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
  • A sound understanding of current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the business.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
