Overview

South Norfolk Council has a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join and support the waste operations team. This fast-paced environment will assist the management team to deliver a safe, efficient and compliant operation across services for residents and businesses within the District. The role requires flexibility, sound judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills to address daily operational and personnel issues.

The role involves working on site as well as shift work between regular operating hours (05:30 to 17:30) to support the operational challenges and a large team. For the right candidate, this role may develop into a management position supported by funded training.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management team to deliver a safe, efficient and compliant waste operations operation across services to residents and businesses within the District.
  • Work on site and undertake shift work within the 05:30 to 17:30 window to support operational challenges and a large team.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, sound judgment, initiative and problem-solving skills to address daily operational and personnel issues.
