Team Leader – Hygiene

Salary: £18.53 per hour + Great Benefits
Hours: 36.65 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 1700 to 0100

We are now seeking a Team Leader in our Packing Hygiene team, to join the Clawson family situated in the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray.
What you’ll do
You will be responsible for the team management of your area, ensuring line leaders, colleagues and activities within the department are managed effectively and efficiently and carry out their allocated duties to the correct standard/specification and efficiencies. You will ensure the team meets all its shift targets set.

We Care
- Coordinate Hygiene staff and ensure work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with the Hygiene Instruction Card.
- Completion of cleaning schedule documentation
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards and Company Rules/Procedures are adhered to at all times
Togetherness
- Ensure a robust system of handovers with the production team is maintained by completing handovers at the beginning and end of each shift
- Assist with delivery of training for the team, as and when required.
- Liaise with the Engineering Department to sign off on hygiene standards.
Integrity
- Create and maintain daily KPI reports for delivery to the Hygiene manager and department heads.
- Daily auditing of machinery pre and post clean to ensure that the correct standards have been achieved
What are we looking for?
- Self‑motivated and proven experience of motivating others
- Proven people management skills
- Adept at problem solving and route cause analysis
- A good level of numeracy & literacy is required in order to carry out area reporting activities
- Intermediate IT skills including Excel, Word and email
- Industrious and able to prioritise tasks to deadlines
- Key eye for detail and experience of auditing
- Experience of using a Hygiene Management System
- Understanding of COSHH
- Experience of training staff
- Previous hygiene experience within the food industry
