Senior Business Analyst (Repo / Securities Finance)
Location: London (Hybrid, 4 days per week in the office)
Salary: Up to £120,000+ base plus strong bonus and benefits
DW Search is partnering with a leading global investment bank to appoint an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a front office technology team.
Working directly with Front Office Repo and Securities Finance trading desks, you’ll play a key role in delivering strategic enhancements to business-critical trading applications and workflow platforms used across the global business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking Business Analyst who enjoys working closely with traders, technology teams and senior stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced Front Office environment.
The Role
- Partner directly with Front Office traders and business stakeholders to capture and define requirements.
- Produce detailed functional requirements and user stories for development teams.
- Drive enhancements across Repo and Securities Finance trading platforms.
- Work closely with developers throughout analysis, design, testing and implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve trading workflows and operational efficiency.
- Support business-critical applications and assist with production issues where required.
- Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Risk and Finance teams across global locations.
- Extensive Business Analyst experience within an investment banking Front Office environment.
- Strong knowledge of Repo and/or Securities Finance products and workflows.
- Experience working directly with Front Office traders to gather and define business requirements.
- The ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for technology teams.
- Experience delivering technology change across Front Office trading platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Apex or similar Repo / Securities Finance trading platforms (e.g. Broadridge SFCM, Murex, Calypso, EquiLend, Pirum, or proprietary in-house Repo trading platforms) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of collateral management, settlements and funding workflows.
- Understanding of P&L, valuations and risk calculations.
- SQL or Oracle query skills.
