The North Laine is Brighton’s premier multi-use venue, thoughtfully evolving to become the city’s most inclusive sports bar. We’re transforming our late-night entertainment offering into a vibrant sports destination that welcomes everyone, families seeking quality time, students looking for a vibrant social hub, sports enthusiasts and social leagues, and the LGBTQ+ community, all in a welcoming environment.
Our expansive space, renowned food offering, and diverse entertainment options including gaming, pool, and shuffleboard create the perfect backdrop for connection and enjoyment. We’re positioning the North Laine as the alternative to loud, exclusionary sports venues, a place where everyone belongs, every match matters, and great food, good company, and inclusive community are at the heart of everything we do.

Do you fit the bill?
- Have well-rounded experience: You’ll know how to manage daytime or pull out an unforgettable gig or even create a tailored experience for corporate and private events.
- Commercial focus: You will know how to drive sales, market events, and keep the pub thriving. You understand the community’s vibe and make the best of it. Knowing how to deal with corporate events is a MUST.
- You are a hospitality pro: With at least 3 years of experience leading a dynamic venue in an MP or GM position, you’ll know how to keep things running smoothly.
- A bag of personality: At Laine, we’re all about embracing individuality—no cookie‑cutters here. We want someone who’s as unique as the crowd they’re pulling in.
- Know the Brighton’ scene: From the best boozers to the night hotspots, you’ve got the lowdown on the local vibe and know how to tailor your offer around it.
