Job Description:

We are looking for a Data Architect to join our global CI&T team. In this strategic leadership role, you will shape and lead technology vision across large-scale programs and key client relationships. You’ll be responsible for designing modern, scalable, secure, and high-impact data architectures while enabling teams to implement those solutions with technical excellence and agility.

As a Data Architect, you will collaborate with stakeholders across product, strategy, data, and design, acting as a trusted advisor to executive-level client partners. You’ll foster a culture of engineering excellence, support pre-sales initiatives, and mentor senior technical leaders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead end-to-end data architecture for complex ecosystems, balancing technical depth with business outcomes.
  • Translate business strategy into scalable technology solutions through discovery workshops, assessments, and roadmaps.
  • Act as technical sponsor for CI&T’s most strategic accounts, working closely with C-level clients and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead architectural design, technology selection, and proof-of-concepts for critical platforms and innovation programs.
  • Govern technical quality across delivery squads, driving adherence to security, performance, scalability, and privacy standards.
  • Support pre-sales, proposal development, RFPs, and technical visioning with account teams and clients.
  • Coach and mentor senior architects and technical leads, shaping technical career development paths.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Experience in data architecture and technical leadership, including strategic consulting and system design.
  • Strong technical breadth across data engineers, science and modelling.
  • Strong Databricks experience.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Solid understanding of non-functional requirements: performance, resilience, security, and scalability.
  • Advanced English (spoken and written), with strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity within consultancy
  • Knowledge of frameworks: Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), TOGAF, SAFe.
  • Experience hiring, growing, and managing architect-level talent.
  • Public speaking or thought leadership in engineering/architecture forums.
  • Fluency in other languages (add other languages, e.g., Portuguese, Spanish).
