Job Description:

A trusted, family-run business with nearly four decades of experience in forklift trucks and materials handling solutions is looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer due to continued expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, refurbish, and maintain a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure machinery meets high performance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the workshop team to deliver outstanding service and support to our customers.

What we’re looking for

  • Mechanical or electrical engineering experience (ideally in forklifts, plant, automotive, or similar sectors).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are beneficial but not essential – experience and attitude matter most.
  • Must hold a valid UK driver’s licence and be able to commute to the Wokingham workshop.
