CYP Manager – Children Services

Fixed‑Term Maternity Cover, full time, 37.5 hours per week. Competitive pay, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Play a vital role in the child’s journey through the hospital.
• Be a trusted guide and support to the child and their parents or guardians.
• Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as an essential part of the ward team.
• Work with a wide variety of cases, broadening your skills.
• Work within different specialist areas.
• Be accountable for the operational and clinical management of the CYP service.
• Collaborate with consultants and a range of stakeholders to drive and develop the CYP service.
• Lead and manage a team of specialist nurses to deliver a bespoke service for our patients.
• Participate in the on‑call rota.
• Promote innovation within the service to be responsive to service user needs.

Qualifications

• NMC qualified with extensive post‑registration experience in a children’s ward setting.
• Post‑registration experience, ideally with EPALS, ILS or ALS skills or willingness to undertake further study.
• Experience in children’s nursing; adult nursing as an advantage.
• Experience of clinical leadership.
• Strong teamwork and ability to work well individually.
• Ability to engage and build relationships with external stakeholders.
