Job Overview
International company specialising in engineering and software development projects is looking for a PLM Operations Manager or Programme Manager. The UK hub is based in the Midlands.
The role reports directly to the Managing Director and is considered a senior manager within the company. It is a client‑facing position requiring frequent travel, typically n=2 trips per month to northern Europe.
The successful candidate will help build and manage a dynamic portfolio of projects and work closely with the sales team on bid and tender processes.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment and line‑management of client project teams
- Resource management on all client projects
- Matrix‑management and risk & issue resolution
- Reporting and forecasting for project performance
- Budgeting and cost management
- Technical delivery oversight across PLM initiatives
- Support of bid/tender process and presentation to prospective clients
Qualifications
- Proven background in PLM with a deep understanding of the industry
- Engineering degree (mandatory)
- Project or programme management qualifications (e.g. Prince II, PMP, MSP)
- Experience with CAD/CATIA highly regarded
- Strong pre‑sales presentation skills
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
