Group Finance Director – Manufacturing | Board Role | South West + UK travel
We are working with a successful, privately owned, multi‑site manufacturing group to appoint a Group Finance Director in a pivotal board‑level role, partnering closely with the owner.
This is a broad, hands‑on leadership position with real influence, offering the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a well‑established, cash‑generative business with clear ambitions for both organic growth and acquisition.
The Role
You’ll take full ownership of the Group finance function while acting as a key member of the leadership team. Responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing finance across a multi‑site operation
- Driving performance, profitability and cash generation
- Partnering the Board on strategy, growth and decision‑making
- Supporting and leading M&A and integration activity
- Providing commercial insight to support the next phase of expansion
About You
We are looking for someone commercial, operationally strong and comfortable in an owner‑led environment, with the ability to balance strategy and hands‑on delivery.
- A high‑potential Divisional FD / No.2 ready to step into a No.1 role
Experience in manufacturing, engineering or industrial sectors, and exposure to multi‑site environments and growth activity (ideally M&A), will be highly beneficial.
