Pay: £20.00 per hour (flat rate)
Hours: 12‑hour shifts, including nights

Role Overview
As a Support Worker you will help people develop life skills, confidence and emotional resilience, supporting individuals with complex needs to live safely and independently in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning and budgeting
- Encourage independence and build confidence through meaningful activities and community access
- Provide calm, reliable presence during difficult times, offering emotional reassurance and structure
- Promote routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected and included
- Monitor and record progress, recognising and celebrating small wins every day
- Work regular 12‑hour shifts, including waking nights, to provide consistent high‑quality care
Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Minimum of one year’s experience in care or support (desirable)
- Compassion, resilience, and emotional intelligence
- Confidence working with people with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour
- Basic IT skills for communication and record keeping
- Flexibility to work across services in Shropshire and Staffordshire
- Team‑first attitude and commitment to person‑centred care

Additional Information
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. All criminal convictions, including spent ones, must be declared.
