Your impact
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Edinburgh Supply Chain (Procurement) function as a Supply Chain Buyer in our Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business. The successful candidate will report to the Supply Chain Team Leader for the specific sector.
What You’ll Bring
- Manage portfolio of external supply chain partners & associated purchase orders
- Chair regular reviews with suppliers
- Ensure material supply meets material requirements and planning demand
- Ensure timely issuance and submission of responses to the standard SC toolset
- Be accountable for supplier delivery performance throughout the contract lifecycle in line with defined KPIs
- Identify risk and opportunity, working collaboratively with stakeholders to help define mitigation activities
- Maintain joint action plans
- Deploy the appropriate SAP activity to carry out your job effectively, e.g. purchase order date maintenance
Qualifications
- Awareness of trade/export compliance
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to influence
- Effective and flexible communication skills
- IT literacy – must have MS Office, Excel & SAP/MRP knowledge
