Your impact

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Edinburgh Supply Chain (Procurement) function as a Supply Chain Buyer in our Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business. The successful candidate will report to the Supply Chain Team Leader for the specific sector.

What You’ll Bring

  • Manage portfolio of external supply chain partners & associated purchase orders
  • Chair regular reviews with suppliers
  • Ensure material supply meets material requirements and planning demand
  • Ensure timely issuance and submission of responses to the standard SC toolset
  • Be accountable for supplier delivery performance throughout the contract lifecycle in line with defined KPIs
  • Identify risk and opportunity, working collaboratively with stakeholders to help define mitigation activities
  • Maintain joint action plans
  • Deploy the appropriate SAP activity to carry out your job effectively, e.g. purchase order date maintenance

Qualifications

  • Awareness of trade/export compliance
  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence
  • Effective and flexible communication skills
  • IT literacy – must have MS Office, Excel & SAP/MRP knowledge
