Senior Product Developer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Developer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in Grimsby.

This role is ideal for a passionate and commercially aware product development professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys taking products from concept through to launch.

The Role

Reporting into the Development Manager, you will play a key role in the creation and delivery of innovative, high-quality food products for both retail and foodservice customers.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing product development projects from concept to launch
• Developing commercially viable and innovative food products in line with customer and market trends
• Working closely with Technical, Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams
• Managing customer briefs and presenting products confidently to internal and external stakeholders
• Conducting factory trials, product benchmarking, and shelf-life evaluations
• Ensuring products meet quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the business

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience within a Senior Product Development or Product Developer role in food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and factory environments
• Experience working with retail and/or foodservice customers
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• A creative mindset combined with strong commercial awareness
• Confidence working cross-functionally and communicating with stakeholders at all levels
• Degree qualification in Food Science, Product Development, or a related discipline preferred
