Partnerships Specialist (12 Month FTC)

Salary: £47,000 – £53,000 per annum plus benefits
Contract: Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Full‑time (flexible working arrangements available)
Location: Stratford, London (office‑based with high flexibility, typically 2 days per week in the office)

Overview
In this role you will identify, develop and deliver long‑term strategic partnerships that bring external organisations closer to Cancer Research UK’s mission. Working closely with the Partnerships and Philanthropy teams, you’ll help create and grow high‑value corporate and wider partnerships that deliver meaningful impact beyond income generation. You will translate complex PIC activity into compelling partnership opportunities, enabling fundraisers and partners to connect with CRUK’s work in innovative ways.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clear overview of PIC activity and strategic priorities to identify opportunities for Partnerships and major donors.
- Act as a consultant, collaborating with colleagues across teams to build PIC funding and strategic opportunities for existing and new partnerships.
- Work with PIC directors, heads and Partnerships teams to identify strategic partnership and funding opportunities.
- Provide oversight of key health partnership delivery, including targeted partnership delivery management when required.
- Manage the health partnerships manager.
- Build and maintain senior external relationships, providing direction and managing escalations for health partnership delivery.
- Use effective communication to shape and deliver pitches that bring PIC work to life.
- Accountable for robust tracking, measurement, and impact reporting of core purpose PIC partnerships, reporting to the business as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent relationship manager able to build strong networks and collaborate within a complex organisation.
- Experience delivering mutually beneficial partnerships with tangible successes.
- Strong communicator who can inspire and engage a range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating at a senior level and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
- Capacity to balance risks and opportunities and advise peers and senior stakeholders in decision making.
- Creative thinker able to develop engaging content and obtain buy‑in from stakeholders.
- Significant experience influencing multiple stakeholders, communicating effectively and engagingly both internally and externally.
- Sound understanding of corporate partnerships and the needs of fundraising.
