Your role

As a Senior Consultant in the Invent Banking team, you will work with the world’s largest and most innovative financial institutions to help them deliver on upcoming market infrastructure transformations—whether focused on regulatory, technology or operations. You will build steady relationships with current and new clients, partner across accounts, provide thought leadership, coach junior members, and lead workstreams on key projects.

  • Support the management and growth of one or more accounts across the Invent offering portfolio.
  • Proactively open new connections and relationships.
  • Work with leading companies developing, prioritising and delivering the banking institutions of the future.
  • Design and lead streams of work while contributing to Capgemini’s growth through successful delivery, knowledge creation and new business opportunities.
  • Identify and analyse problems and issues that may affect the successful delivery and adoption of our proposed solutions.
  • Bring the right combination of style and substance, ensuring the basics are right while always adding value to our clients.
  • Work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams to drive continuous business performance improvement.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills to ensure that the team’s plans and objectives are achieved.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth through activities in the following categories:

  • Business development – leading or contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitches, and client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications, etc.

Your profile

You will have deep banking and hands‑on consulting experience, with novel points of view regarding the future of the industry. You should have broad knowledge of banking and cross‑asset classes and ideally some industry roles (e.g., product controller) in addition to one or more of the following:

  • Experience implementing regulatory changes across banking (front, middle and back office) in a PM, analyst or change expert role.
  • Experience in retail banking, private banking & wealth or corporate investment banking.
  • Understanding of the three lines of defence and how data and controls are executed.
  • Experience developing and executing the technology roadmap in a banking environment (including views on digital/AI/cloud and DLT/tokenisation and digital assets).
  • AI strategy and delivery projects.
  • Knowledge of global payments with a focus on either wholesale or retail side.

You will also bring:

  • Experience in people management and proven ability to nurture and develop individuals.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation and enlist support and commitment from peers in developing, selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Current work in a major consulting firm and/or industry, but having a consulting background.
  • Experience in proposition building and delivery.
  • Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre‑existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, capable of generating consulting revenues.
