Media Studies Teacher Sixth Form College in Southampton

Start Date: September (Autumn Term)Contract: Full-Time Temporary until DecemberWorking Hours: 8:00am 4:00pmPay: £165 £250 per day (dependent on experience)

What You Will Be Doing

• Teaching Media Studies at A-Level
• Delivering engaging lessons covering media theory, analysis and production
• Supporting students with coursework, practical projects and exam preparation
• Planning and contributing to a well-structured and ambitious curriculum
• Encouraging critical thinking around digital, print and broadcast media
• Assessing and tracking student progress in line with departmental expectations

What We re Looking For

• A qualified teacher with UK QTS (or equivalent post-16 teaching experience)
• Experience teaching Media Studies at KS5/A-Level
• Strong subject knowledge across media theory and practical production
• The ability to inspire and engage post-16 learners
• Confident classroom management suited to a mature learning environment
• A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
