Activities coordinator

Overview

Employment Type: Part Time Hours available (15hrs a week including weekends)

Location: Springfield Park, OL11 4RE

Responsibilities

• Provide stimulating and meaningful activities for residents, tailoring activities to individual skills, hobbies and interests to improve quality of life while upholding privacy, dignity and independence.
• Create a happy and caring atmosphere, putting residents’ needs first, and delivering a wide range of physical, social, emotional and psychological activities tailored to the individual.
• Respect differences and recognise that staff and residents will have different needs in a varied role.
• Examples of responsibilities may include accompanying residents to local events, leading chair exercise classes, reminiscing with residents about past holidays, or facilitating arts and crafts.

Requirements

• No previous experience is required; full training will be provided.
• This role suits someone who enjoys leading and organising activities, is organized, sociable and active, and who enjoys bringing people together.
• Demonstrate a flexible, hardworking and caring attitude, with a desire to work as part of a dedicated team and show care and compassion at all times.
