Job Description: The Power Engineer will support the organisation by delivering customer networks, platforms and systems in relation to power and connectivity.

Security Clearance: DV (Developed Vetting) required. Allowance of £5k per annum may be payable while holding clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Establish technical objectives and delegate responsibilities.
  • Influence own organisation and senior customers/suppliers at a senior management level.
  • Direct work resourcing, own site issues and resolve problems.
  • Perform technical coaching and mentoring.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of transmission network and management platforms.
  • Experience in network installation, integration and testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to capture requirements with stakeholders clearly.
  • Good relationship management skills and a dedicated, positive attitude.

Preferred Experience

  • Installation in compliance with UK Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and associated regulations.
  • Upgrade and decommission of mechanical & electrical equipment.
  • Ongoing maintenance and repair of mechanical & electrical equipment on GSE sites, including reactive repair and compliance with PPM requirements.
  • Identification and repair of faults during planned maintenance.
