Manufacturing – Production Assistant

Overview

Pay – £12.80 then £13.21 per hour after 18 months probation.

Our Manufacturing centre in Birstall, Leicestershire is looking for a 38.5 hour a week Production Assistant to work from 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30am – 12pm on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual tasks, including measuring and assembling made‑to‑measure curtains and blinds.
• Use automated production systems to manage workload and achieve hourly, daily and weekly production targets.
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy for bespoke items.
• Work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and support team objectives.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work productively in a team.
• Prior experience as a Production Assistant in manufacturing or the textiles/hosiery industry is desirable.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under tight schedules and rapidly changing priorities.
• Full training will be provided; no mandatory prior experience required.
