About The Role
Working pattern: Monday to Friday – 5.30am to 7.30am
Holiday entitlement will be accrued on a pro‑rata basis in line with weeks worked.
As a caretaker we keep an eye on energy usage and provide meter readings. We regularly check the fire system and carry out monthly fire door checks. We also note and report any repair needs through the helpdesk and handle minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unblocking drains and minor joinery. It’s a hands‑on role that keeps everything running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for monitoring energy usage and supplying meter readings.
- Check the operation of the fire system on a regular basis, as directed by the PPM system.
- Carry out monthly fire door checks as part of the PPM schedule.
- Be responsible for noting and reporting repair requirements through the helpdesk.
- Undertake minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and strips, fuses and plugs, unblocking drains and minor joinery.
Qualifications
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
- IOSH Certificate would be desirable.
- Legionella legislation awareness.
- IT Literate, MS Office, competent in Excel and PowerPoint, smartphones and helpdesk use.
