Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Lambeth)

Start: September 2026 – End: July 2027 (Term time only, Full‑time contract). Pay: £100‑£117 per day (depending on experience).

This role is for an aspiring teacher or education professional to gain classroom experience in a supportive mainstream secondary school that values inclusivity and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS3 and KS4, providing general classroom support.
• Assist with small‑group interventions and 1:1 support for children with additional learning needs.
• Help teachers deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide literacy, numeracy and phonics interventions.
• Support children’s academic, social and emotional development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Qualifications & Experience

• Enthusiastic, proactive and genuinely passionate about supporting child learning.
• Previous experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, sports coaching, childcare, voluntary work or school placements is highly beneficial.
