Job Summary
Support two gentlemen in New Milton (BH25) who each have distinct personalities and daily routines. Both are non‑verbal with limited vocabulary; they communicate via short sentences. They attend college and day service and benefit from patient, consistent, person‑centred care.
Shift Patterns
The role offers Full‑time (22.5‑37.5 hours per week) and part‑time options. Schedule options include:• 7:00am – 2:30pm (day shift)• 10:00am – 10:00pm (long day shift)
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
- Support the gentlemen during yoga sessions, coastal walks, and other outdoor activities.
- Assist with transportation, including taking the train to London to visit family.
- Maintain a calm, patient, and steady presence, especially during behaviours of distress.
- Facilitate communication through short sentences and person‑centred techniques.
