Brief Overview
AnzUK Education is working with a highly regarded independent junior school in West London seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their thriving team from September 2026. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence.
- Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, providing timely feedback and appropriate interventions where needed.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and presentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and school initiatives.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including co‑curricular activities and school events.
The Ideal Teacher
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Be an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Be dedicated to supporting the holistic development of every child.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
