Brief Overview

AnzUK Education is working with a highly regarded independent junior school in West London seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their thriving team from September 2026. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence.
  • Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, providing timely feedback and appropriate interventions where needed.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and school initiatives.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including co‑curricular activities and school events.

The Ideal Teacher

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • Be an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be dedicated to supporting the holistic development of every child.
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
