CAD Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician to join our innovative site construction team. This is a site-based role supporting the delivery of a major civil engineering infrastructure project.

Working closely with engineers and project teams, you will play a key role in producing accurate drawings and supporting ongoing site operations.

Department: Engineering; Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time; Location: Sheffield, Yorkshire; Workplace type: Onsite.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Developing concept designs.
• Liaising with other team members.
• Reviewing and altering construction models.
• Producing sketches and AutoCAD drawings for construction/temporary works proposals.
• Reviewing and developing as-built construction information to issue to clients.
• Conducting drone activities, processing imagery and point clouds.

What You Will Bring:

• Strong background in practical problem solving.
• Sound understanding of civil engineering principles.
• Degree (BEng) or similar college qualifications in civil engineering (not essential).
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, BricsCAD, (Civils 3D/N4orce) – optional.
• Knowledge of Revit or Tekla an advantage, but not necessary.
• Good understanding of computer systems, IT, and general software.
