CAD Technician

We are looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join our engineering team. If you enjoy building detailed 3D models, working on complex mechanical systems, and collaborating across design and production — this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment.Location: Rugby | Full-timeWhat You’ll Be DoingCreate 3D CAD models and detailed production drawings using CATIAWork closely with the design project team to support concept development, mechanical analysis, and final production configurationsUsing in-house tools for life cycle management and material ordering, create parts list and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to allow ordering and manufacture within the supply chain.Assist Mechanical Design Engineers in creation of models to satisfy design solutions and engage with suppliers and wider project team to aid production configuration.What We’re Looking ForA qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HNC, HND, or equivalent)Experience with CATIA (or similar 3D CAD software) – essentialAbility to create and read technical drawingsFamiliar with Geometric Tolerancing, Limits and Fits, Production techniques such as casting, welding and forging.Experience with rotating industrial equipment (Turbines, Pumps, Gears, Compressors) is beneficialThis work is undertaken with UK Defence customers which will require any individual applying for the role to hold or be capable of getting SC Level clearance. Applicants not cleared will not be accepted into the business until this clearance is provided.
